The Inclusive Digital Mobility (INDIMO) EU-funded project has focused on making digital mobility services accessible to all users, regardless of their digital skills or background. Mobility services are rapidly going digital, but INDIMO ensures that populations in vulnerable situations are not left behind.
Did you know that nearly 42% of the EU population lacks basic digital skills? These individuals include those with low incomes, limited education access, disabilities, the elderly, and especially women and girls in all their diversity, with caring duties. INDIMO has introduced the Inclusive Digital Mobility Toolbox, a user-centric set of guidelines and tools that improve digital transport services. It includes resources for design, cybersecurity, and service assessment, all aimed at enhancing inclusivity and accessibility.
We’ve already put these tools to the test in various pilot locations, and now we’re excited to see the results published on CORDIS. This recognition is a big step toward universal design principles in digital services. Our hope is that more cities, regions, and digital developers across Europe and behind will embrace these principles early in their digital services development.
With technology advancing rapidly, we’re committed to ensuring that no one gets left behind in the digital mobility transformation. INDIMO is leading the way to ensure #MobilityForAll.
