In the upcoming session, panelists will debate these challenges and offer recommendations related to social and people skills, mental health awareness, and collaboration between universities and industries. The session aims to provide concrete takeaway messages focusing on sharing good practices and innovative initiatives to ensure a strategic alignment between industry demands and educational offerings.
Floridea will bring to the discussion her extensive involvement in nurturing dialogues on just transition within the United Nations Climate Change Conference, where she is currently proposing a green care economy just transition program. Additionally, she has been working on creating a new academic curriculum for engineering schools aimed at producing professionals capable of planning climate-friendly transport systems through the Erasmus+ project called REFOCUS. Furthermore, Floridea is actively engaged in defining a capacity-building program for local authorities to adopt climate-friendly solutions within the HEurope projects AMIGOS, SPINE, and IclusiveSpaces. Her approach is centered on promoting an iterative knowledge method based on the community of practice.
Beyond technical intricacies, the session delves into the human dimension of the transport future, emphasizing communication, empathy, and adaptability.
