PSCL | Home-Work Mobility Plan for Bocconi University

Project development

Italian regulation states that one of the main responsibilities of companies and institutions that generate systematic trips of their workers and end-users is the preparation and implementation of the Home-Work Mobility Plan.

The Home-Work Mobility Plan (Piano degli Spostamenti Casa-Lavoro – PSCL in Italian acronym) can be defined as a set of measures implemented by companies and institutions through their Mobility Managers to promote more sustainable modes of transports, as for example, less use of a private car with only the driver on board or greater use of public transport or walking and cycling.

In this framework, Bocconi University in Milan, has contracted Polinomia and cambiaMO to realize the activities of analysis of the current mobility patterns of Bocconi employees (both staff and professors) and end-users (students), dialogue with relevant actors, and the elaboration of a PSCL proposal. To do this, both Polinomia and cambiaMO carries out a survey that involves employees and students to reconstruct their home-university trips and contributes to define more sustainable and acceptable mobility measures.
